Ótima cerveja. Encorpada e potente.

Paladar: corpo médio, textura oleosa, média carbonatação e final metálico e levemente alcoólico. delicioso amargor amadeirado, maltado, apesar do aroma adocicado excessivamente.

Bottle, may 2008, thanks Sergio for sharing! Very deep, almost blood like, red/ copper color with a medium, creamy beige head. Rather sweet flavor, notorious crystal malt prescence, slightly syrupy, just at the brink of being cloying, warming alcohol very well hidden. Medium palate, big, warming but a bit clumsy. Fruity, sherry like aroma with some plum notes. Nice, but a bit blurry strong english ale.

This one was my very start within beers world... And even now, gone 4 years behind that first date, it still impresses me... Fair enough it appears on the brazillians top rated, hehe

Reddish copper body with tanned foam, little but lasting and regular. Strong malt, wood and cherries aroma, with some hoppines. Clear roasted malt flavor along wiht roasted bread, with some red fruits going on also, maybe barbados cherry. There’s a high bitterness there, specially when in lower temperatures. As the temp rises, it’s bitternes and flavor overall faints considerably. Bitter roasted malt aftertaste. Good beer. Boa cerveja.

Bottle @ Coles Barleywine Festival 2008 Buffalo NY. Not much aroma going on here. Sugary sweet, alcohol is very well hidden. Slight honey & herbal tea presence. Very easy drinking but didnt really come off as a barleywine. Thanks Crystal for the bottle

Bottle at Cole’s Barleywine Fest. Amber, medium tan head. Nose is fruit, malt, alcohol. flavor is muddy amber malt, honey, tea. Meh. Amazing that it hides that 9.2% though.

Bottle. High creamy and long lasting off-white head. Very dark red body. In fact you will have to hold it close to light, otherwise yould say it was black. Hoppy caramel cocoa aroma. Mild and round coffee caramel flavor with a nice bitterness. Low carbonation and a long coffee aftertaste. The high alcohol percentage is well hidden.

Bottle, thanks to Nicolás for sharing! A full sweet toffee-malt tasting beer with lots of ripe fruit and noticeable alcohols. Very heavy and malty yet not too cloying and ends syrupy-sweet with lots of candy sugar toffeeness and hints of fruit and dryness. Good.

Bottle. Definitely, the best Brazilian beer I’ve ever had. Aroma is very good and intense; creamy body. Rich, strong beer. Great!... E vale cada centavo, sem dúvida.
