BOTTLE.This tastes like metal and syrupy mild chocolate and this looks like no Michael Jackson nor Eddie Van Halen but more like an unsure dark brown (stout) with a small white head. And surprisingly boozy for a 6.5% alcohol beer. Not goodos at all. But not offensive though. Just like my cousin Louis. Or is it someone else’s cousin. I don’t know. I don’t remember. Just like this beer.

Medium bodied stout, with nice notes of roasted malts, dark chocolates, some plums, molasses and a lovely roasty bitterness. Not unforgettable, but good!

Aromas of burnt chocolate, milk chocolate, molasses, spearmint, fennel, dark roast coffee. Black, mostly lasting tan head. Earthy like a wet mossy log, woodsy, coffee flavors are more prevalent as it warms, herbaceous, green. Full bodied, quite lingering astringent finish.

350ml served in a Weizen glass. A: Pours a deep black color forming a big creamy beige head. Good retention and many lacings left S: Roasted malts, coffee, dark chocolate. A bit too lactic dyacetil can be felt in the end, a bit annoying T: Follows the nose. Mild sweet upfront. Roasted malts, coffee, vanilla and dark chocolate. Warming sensation. Intense bitterness M: Creamy heavy body, medium carbonation. A bit molasses. Roasted malt aftertaste O: Good drinkability. IMHO, it’s closer to a Foreign Stout than to a Dry but anyways a great one. Baden Baden is definitely one of the best Brazilian breweries [ BA Review @ 7/31/2012 ]
