Otima cerveja escura, densa e cremosa boa de apreciar (e tem que degustar mesmo, pelo preço salgado) pelo sabor nao dá para imaginar a graduação alcoolica, otimo produto artesanal.

6 May 2012, bottle. black, clear, really thick, foamy head. nose is a sweet meaty aroma that i can’t decide if its nice or a bit off. there’s burnt coffee in there but the meatiness and blue fruit aromas are certainly dominant. med body and a bit fizzy. burnt chocolate flavor with some sweet meaty flavors. has a burnt but sweet caramel finish. i think this isn’t that nice. the caramel is a "cheap" flavor, the meatiness has not big stout flavor to balance it. there’s no complexity and the strong flavors aren’t that nice.

tmrmwel (230) - Bergen, NORWAY - APR 1, 2012
Bottle, shared with VANØ Bergen. Pours very dark, although not quite black, with a thick, creamy head. Aroma is roasted chocolate malts, cocoa and coffee. Nice flavour with a bit more of a punch, which includes roasted malts, coffee and, somewhat surprising, notes of smoky peat, together with some sweet notes of caramel and burned sugar.

Bottle, courtesy of tmrmwel and shared by quite a few people from VANØ Bergen. Pours a black body with a medium beige head. Nose is cocoa, coffee, nuts and hints of blue cheese. Taste is roasty, burnt tones of coffee, cocoa and hints of ashes. Medium carbonation, smooth mouthfeel. A tasty Brazilian beer for sure.

Scopey (1659) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - FEB 2, 2012
Bottle from Delirium Cafe, Rio. It pours black, with a thick tan head. The nose is charcoal, roasted malt, smoke, chocolate, caramel and distinct umami. The taste is charcoal, caramel, toffee, milk chocolate, burnt malt and meat, with a dry-roasted finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. A really solid stout.

A: The pour is almost black in color with a small, finger’s worth of tan head to go with it. S: Interesting nose on this. There’s a definite smokiness to it that I wasn’t expecting, but it’s not overpowering. Plenty of roast and strong coffee/espresso. Lightly sweet, maybe some molasses and burnt toffee. T: Lots of roasted flavor to the beer, and the smoke is subtle but present throughout the sip. Dark chocolate and coffee provide more roast and some bitterness. Not too much sweetness, but there is a nice balance. M: Medium in body with a somewhat soft carbonation. O: I think this is my first Brazilian beer and it was pretty solid. Good roasty stout with a nice bit of smoke.

Pours a dark brown-black .. . great big head, lacing is A- .. . cold coffee, mild acidity .. . light mouthfeel- fits with most brazilian brews .. . probably to thin to get any respect but a great brew none the less.. i don’t wanna get too messy by eating to many bombs...

Almost totally black in colour with a nice tan head that laces beautifully. Roasted aroma of coffee. Nice body with slightly sweet malty taste of chocolate and coffee with a really nice bitter finish. Rather creamy, feels nice and soft in the mouth. I really like this one. A solid stout.
