500ml bottle. Murky dark amber colour with a crackling level head of dirty white foam. Ginger domiates the aroam and there is a spicy ginger kick in the mouth which is good. Well rounded with smooth texture in the mouth almost sliky.

Bottle 50cl. Pours a clear golden/amber colour with a nice head that disappears pretty fast. Aroma is pretty bland and onesided, can find some hints of oranges and honey. Taste is on the other hand very refined and varied, nice taste roast, lightly bitter and very refreshing.

Warning! Early amateur rating! Unusal ale. The ginger is noticeable but there are also what I can only describe as Fishermans Friend flavours as well. Different!

500ml bottle. Small, slowly fading white head; clear golden orange body. Spicy & gingery but not overpowering on the nose with a sweet floral note. Ginger dominates on the tongue too with some heat in the throat, held up by a Hobnob biscuit sweetness. Light body & medium carbonation with quite a sweet toffee character in the aftertaste.

500 mL bottle. Claims that this is suitably spiced with ginger on the bottle are misleading, theres lots of ginger here. Not being a fan of ginger beer this is real turn off, and this is by far the least appealing of all the Badger beers I’ve tried. Try England Gold or Poachers Choice instead.

500ml bottle. Pours a clear amber gold, with a small head, yet good lacing. The aroma is dominated by ginger, however, a small hint of toffee lurks in the background. Peppery hops start it off, followed by by the merest hint of sweet malt, and then an absolute heap of ginger. The palate is crisp and dry. I have to say, I love Badger’s practice of adding odd ingredients to their beer. Elderflower was inspired, and ginger is another good choice. It mixes wonderfully with the natural hops of a high-class bitter, although perhaps dominates little more than is really necessary. Still, this is quite enjoyable.

Can@Home. Light amber with small ofwhite head. Aroma is malt, light caramel and lots of ginger. Taste is rather sweet with caramel and sweet ginger, nice long aftertaste

Medium white head. Amber body with carbonation. Soapy spicy ginger aroma with cedar wood notes. Dry-sweetish cedar wood and ginger taste with cinnamon and dried fruit notes. Hot mouthfeel. Light body. Dry hot strawy sun-heated cedar wood aftertaste. Fairly intense ginger, but not bad. Still, difficult to drink this fast. (0.5l bottle, Sainsbury’s, London.)
