2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Light clear amber with a light white head. Smells spicy with cinnamon and ginger, malt and a light fruity citrus. Medium thin body. Tastes like a normal bitter with malt, caramel being the defining elements with a clear ginger kick. Unfortunately the cheap pasteurisation leaves a chemical element on the finish. Nice spice attempt. Would be better as a cask.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Only drink if you like ginger beer - this isn’t a million miles away from the alcoholic varieties like Crabbies. I do like ginger and quite like this. It’s a nice amber colour with a bit of white head. Body is medium and a bit creamy. Bit of malt base behind the spice, and a hint of apricot comes through as well.

2.8 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Blandford Fly tastes off course of ginger. First, it has a sweetness that reminds of berries, then the slightly spicy taste of ginger ending slightly sharp aftertaste. I do not think that it is burning or in some way strong. I actually think it is very tasty, but also far from usual ales. So if you expect a typical ale, you are probably surprised. It is the ginger as the main element, and you should not expect otherwise.

Gorgeous ginger aroma. Honey coloured. Slight head. Not so fizzy for a bottle. Quite a strong ginger taste with a caramel taste on the back of the tongue.

0.8 AROMA 1/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 1/20
Bottle. Pours clear light amber with small white head. Aroma is completely dominated by synthetic ginger. Taste is very sweet and light bitter. Body is light syrupy with good carbonation. Finish is long and very sweet and again completely dominated by ginger with faint hints of lime and malt. Is this lemonade or beer?
