Sorry but I was disappointed. Not ginger or hot enough for a ginger beer. The ginger tastes almost artificial "ginger flavour" rather than real. There is a stringer taste of burnt orange and perhaps a hint of clove? The beer is very sweet. Not really a success for my palate.

Alright, it tastes sweet and rather gingery. Not much else to add really, perhaps more enjoyable if drank chilled on a hot summer’s day.

To be honest if I’d seen the "with a hint of ginger" on the bottle I’d have left this well alone. As it happens it wasn’t as bad as some British ales that have that ginger flavouring to them. There was a smoothness and a slight hint of vanilla that undercut the ginger flavour reasonably well. Still wouldn’t exactly recommend it though.

2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle. Light copper/deep golden body, very brief head. Aroma is more skunky/leafy hop with sweet spicy undertones, but on the palate the reverse is true. The sweet ginger really asserts its dominance on the palate, with a hoppy kick at the end. How is this not listed as a spice/herb/vegetable style? More drinkable than anticipated, but still not my thing.

Seems to be a bitter with a whole lot of ginger. Whatever they’ve added makes it very sweet and light but so it’s a refreshing beer but I doubt you’d want more than one.

Bottle at the Hen & Chickens, Birmingham. Looks ok - amber with a bubbly head - and tastes like a shandy. Very sweet with the ginger noticeable in the aftertaste. Sweetness gets a bit much after a while. Interesting.

Great smell. Tastes great at first but too sweet for my liking. Interesting though!

(bottle) Clear, deep golden colour with a firm and short off-white foamy head. Biscuity cara-malt with notes of honey and hints of ginger spice. Quite sweet flavour, light to medium bodied with a soft carbonation. Juicy malty taste with notes of biscuits as well as ginger spicy and fruity notes; sweet and juicy finish with present notes of ginger and a very restrained level of bitterness. Not so exciting. 01.X.13

Pours a deep, golden amber. Smells of spices with a hint of toffee. Initial taste is of ginger with a sweet finish.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
500ml bottle pours a golden color with a half a finger of white head that dissipates quickly leaving no lacing on the glass. Aroma is mild ginger. Taste is a ginger spiciness with an underlying malt sweetness. A little on the sweet side for my tastes, seems unbalanced, so I do not recommend this one.
