1.9 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 Dezzilu (226) - Whitmore Lake, Michigan, USA - DEC 5, 2006
UPDATED: MAR 24, 2007 When viewed in the glass, you realize this beer is aptly named. Light, golden color with essentially no head. A nice, strong ale smell sets the beer up nicely. The flavor is fresh with distictive grass and lemon tones. Finish is a little bitter and disappointing thin on flavor. Certainly not a bad beer, and undoubtly fantastic with dorset fly-fished trout ;-) Oh, those marketing folks. UPON RERATING: I know this beer down a couple of notches simply because of the overyly hoppy tast and one-dimensional finish. Still, not a bad beer, but there are certainly UK ale’s

From bottle. Sweet, slight fruity aroma. As the name says it has a great golden appearance. good carb with a thin white head. Nice fruity citrus taste. Clean sweet taste. This beer has a great summer feel to it. Its definatly not summer, its 0 outside but im enjoying this beer.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 RichardGretton (3757) - Leicestershire, ENGLAND - OCT 22, 2006
Bottle. Golden beer with a light head. The aroma is lightly dry and the flavour is sweetish and palatably dry. Overall a nice beer.
2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 DonMagi (5599) - bantervile, Bedfordshire, ENGLAND - SEP 11, 2006
Aroma is lagerish malts with floural hops which dont mix well. Taste is similar an very carbonated.
2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 JonMoore (1573) - Loughborough, Leicestershire, ENGLAND - SEP 1, 2006
Bottle. Clear pale gold colour with a slim white head. Citrus aroma with that stale malt pasteurised edge to it. Citrus taste with a bitter finish. Quite thirst quenching straight from the fridge, (it would rate better as a lager) - but whatever "quintessentially English" is; this isn’t.
2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 yngwie (9175) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - AUG 18, 2006
Bottled. Clear, pale golden, with a small white head. Fruity and limey aroma with some sweetness. Citrusy flavor with some bitterness, especially in the finish. Medium to thin body. Too one-dimentional. (060817)
2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 hughie (3992) - Bedford, Bedfordshire, ENGLAND - JUL 9, 2006
Gold with a white head. Floral aroma indeed, but I’m not sure what they mean by ’zippy’. I taste no ’grape and melon’. This is just a lager, isn’t it? Easy to drink, fizzy, hardly any bitterness.
2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Fin (5749) - Merton, Oxfordshire, England, Oxfordshire, ENGLAND - JUN 24, 2006
Bottle picked up from the brewery 19-06-06. Just as I was expecting golden colour, refreshing, the usual nice florally aroma that you get from many Badger beers, but all in all safe and unexciting.
2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20 Mungo (2472) - Southampton, Hampshire, ENGLAND - JUN 21, 2006
Bottle (from Tesco). Light floral fruity hops and heavy boiled malts. Sweet bodied malt overwhelms the more delicate flavours. On cask with a slightly dryer malt profile this could be quite nice.
2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 harrisoni (10069) - Ashford, Kent, ENGLAND - MAY 30, 2006
500ml bottle from Sainsbury. Gold colour with thin white head. Over carbonated. Flowery/floral citric hop aroma. Pear drop. Bit lagery and wet in mouth. Boy, I have a problem with Badger’s bottled beer. They could be good, but somehow aren’t, but there’s enough about them to keep you interested. Overall a dullish beer.
