COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle: Pasteurised
"It has taken us over two years to develop this golden brown country ale. Badger First Gold is a country ale from Dorset using a single English hop for purity and character."

A classic country ale from Dorset using a single hop variety for purity and character. First Gold are dwarf hops that grow in low hedgerows, more reminiscent of a vineyard, enabling a better quality harvest. A clean, fresh, distinctive ale with hints of orange and spice from the hop, perfect with traditional English roasts and pies.

Aroma; pale roasted malts, hops, cocoa, grass, herbs. One finger off-white head with some beige in it, dark amber or golden brown body, clear, some network of lacings. Taste; roasted sweet malts, grains, hops, hints of citrus, some spices, half sweet n half dry. To palate easy and nice. Carbonation and soft bitterness is alright. Finishes more to the hoppy side, grass, grains. 0,5L brown bottle 4.0% b@supermarket in Finland, tasted@home Norway.

light nutty aroma. appear brown with a small head. Taste light bitter, palate is thin, and a slight bitter aftertaste. if it takes two years developing this beer. it would take centuries to develope a beer as simple as a Guinness

500ml bottle, amber brown, fairly light. Slight citrus taste, but not much hoppiness. Not a very interesting beer but just about ok.

Bottle (gift) at home. Nice full golden colour with a medium-sized White head; fair bit of lacing. Grassy hop aroma is pleasant and distinctive but faint. Taste is not so good: bittersweet, slightly sulphurous and noncommittal. A substandard recipe.

500ml bottle. Poured a clear medium amber with a frothy white head. The aroma is creamy malt with some light hoppy notes. The flavour is medium bitter with a malt fresh zesty hop palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation. A fine English ale.
