3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
UPDATED: JUL 8, 2009 Bottled. Clear golden, with a small white head. Malt and hops in the aroma, with the malt dominating. Hops, malt and hints of caramel in the flavor. Medium body. I would like to see a more agressive hopping all the way in this one. Rating: 5-4-5-3-12-2.9. (060720)
Bottle. A clear, copper beer with a finger-thick off-white head. Biscuity, fruity nose with citrus and a faint note of fennel. Dry, caramel and biscuit flavor with a decent hop impact giving citrus and grass. Some sweetness, but mostly dry. Medium body, and a caramel finish with citrus, some bitterness and once again some fennel. A decent bitter, sessionable and quenching, but I prefer my beers hoppier. (090708)

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
500ml brown bottle 4%v/v. Poured a lovely clear chestnut with light carbonation. Good white head & lacing. Pleasant herbal hop aroma. Strange initial flavour (hops?) with pleasant malt/bitter hops. Maybe a bit one -dimensional but quite refreshing. OK mouthfeel slightly watery.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle, 500ml. A clear copper-coloured pour with an average lasting head. A musty aroma with hops and citrus. Taste is more hops and citrus, with a hint of malt. A little sweet. Moderate carbonation. A musty, hoppy, bitter finish. Not bad for such a low ABV.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Poured from the bottle, a clear dark amber colour with an off-white frothy head that laced well. A sharp aroma - quite bready - of rich fruits (cherry). Quite a watery mouthfeel, though tastes stronger than the 4%. An earthy maltiness with a strong bitter finish.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
500ml bottle from Sainsbury. Pale brown with thin beige head. Yeasty hop aroma. Bit watery in mouth. Some caramel. Depends on what you like, but I donít care for this however, yeast ho has a certain interest. Interesting rose fruit hop.

2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
Bottle. Unpleasantly vegetal hops and cloying malt -these aspects quickly fade leaving a bland beer lacking in bitterness but not over sweet.
