2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 lusikka (2533) - Tampere, FINLAND - MAY 27, 2012
500 ml bottle. Rated on 26.5.2012.
Pours a clear bronze colour with a white foamy head. Aroma of sweetish fruits, floral notes and some grass. Flavour of sweet malts, English toffee, floral notes, butter-like honey and bitter hops. Light bodied, slick mouthfeel and a light bitter finish. Clear bottle fail.
3.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20 buggybill2003 (11) - - MAY 26, 2012
Not a spectacular beer by any stretch, but a thoroughly refreshing and pleasent beer nevertheless.
Id happily drink this as my everyday beer, and with a nice curry. Slightly sweetish, but not overpowering. Very nice on a warm day.
2.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 dogbomb (273) - ENGLAND - MAY 20, 2012
Bottle. Pale brown with a thin white head. Nostrils full of sweet malt, hints of toffee and caramel. On the tongue, there’s more caramel and toffee with some salty notes here and there. Quite dry, with not much bitterness to yell about. Drinkable, but not exciting.
3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20 Panzerfaust (509) - Hanga Roa, Easter Island, CHILE - MAY 16, 2012
500 ml can from Unimarc Los Leones, Santiago. I suppose the Can version should be rated here too. Pours a clear dark orange, copper color with a crown of thick white foam that leaves a film. Looks great. Aroma is very malty, sugary with notes of cake, apricots, chestnuts, walnuts and bitter oranges. A hint of cardboard is there too. Taste tends to the sweeter side but with a soft balance from the hops. I get mostly sweet citrusy notes of oranges and tangerines, nuts and slight acidity from white grapes. Good. Light to medium bodied, highly drinkable ale. The finish is a little abrupt and it has almost no aftertaste. A fine everyday beer.
2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 BlackHaddock (1709) - Shropshire, ENGLAND - MAY 7, 2012
A fairly pale brown, pale ale, with no real head, just a thin wispy covering, mostly making a collar around the glass.
This clear 500ml bottle had a best before sometime in 2007, drank sometime in 2006 (December 27th actually).
No strong aroma at first, but as the beer warmed up a sweetness arrived, giving toffee notes.
Dryish taste, but nothing to get excited about, a bitter type taste really, no great hop flavours for me.
Fizzy beer, not a true Pale Ale in aroma or taste, mothfeel weak also.
Not a beer I will be rushing out for.

0,5l bottle. Clear amber color, I love it. Off white head. Aroma is fruits, faint hops, honey or caramel. Fruity sweet flavor, with mild bitter ending.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 delnoche (371) - GERMANY - MAR 14, 2012
50cl bottle poured into a pint glass. Golden amber with a modest offwhite cap. Aroma is hops and metal, kind of skunky. After the head dissipates, notes of caramel, honey, and biscuit emerge. Flavors are similar to the aroma with hops being dominant. The finish is bitter and metallic. I’m split on this one. I like it but I’m not a fan of the metal nuances. Drinkable but I think the cask version is probably better.
2.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20 suprchunk (1059) - Heinsberg, GERMANY - MAR 12, 2012
Orange color. Slight white head that leaves some lacing behind. A huge waft of caramel with a slight roasted aroma. Sweet burnt caramel flavor. A big dry roasted aftertaste. A lingering bitterness afterwards.
