Named in honour of the inquisitive and extremely “fursty” ferrets of the Gribble Inn, a celebrated golden brown ale, full of character.
At the heart of many a countryside village can be found an inn. A place where locals go to relax after a long day. At one such inn, rumour has it that inquisitive ferrets would sneak to the back door to cheekily sample the local brew. A sweet nutty palate, hoppy aroma and a hint of Seville oranges, give this tawny amber ale its distinctive personality. Recommended with smooth and creamy West Country Cheddar or indulgent pork pies and mustard.

This ale has limited foam, an aroma of nuts and hops and a little citrus. The taste is rich and has a partial caramel note with sweet touches of fruit or perhaps honey. Hop bitterness is quickly on the field and is typically British. That is a somewhat flat / lazy ale with a pronounced hop bitterness.

Pours a dark orange with a slight off-white head. Super malty nose. A bit of a slight syrupy sweetness to it, with not much aftertaste. It’s not my favorite, I will say

0.5 bottle. Clear, copper color and a small, white head. Aroma of pale malts, grains, and skunky wet cereals. Taste is typical, delicate, grainy, and very pedestrian. Medium body, slick texture, and a soft carbonation. Finish is short and buttery. Overall quite a standard bitter, nice sweet finish but otherwise nothing more.

Copenhagen 10/6 2015. 50 cl can from Rema 1000. A lot of drunk and thirsty ferrets on the can. Pours clear golden yellow with small white head. Dissipates fast to thin layer. Aroma is sweet caramel and a little butter. Low carbonation. Taste is light sweet caramel with only slight bitterness. Typical English beer without much fizz or bitterness but nice caramel taste.
