Sold in cans in some territories.
Named in honour of the inquisitive and extremely “fursty” ferrets of the Gribble Inn, a celebrated golden brown ale, full of character.
At the heart of many a countryside village can be found an inn. A place where locals go to relax after a long day. At one such inn, rumour has it that inquisitive ferrets would sneak to the back door to cheekily sample the local brew. A sweet nutty palate, hoppy aroma and a hint of Seville oranges, give this tawny amber ale its distinctive personality. Recommended with smooth and creamy West Country Cheddar or indulgent pork pies and mustard.

UPDATED: APR 23, 2016 500ml bottle from Co-op. Pours mid amber with some frothy head. Leaves some lacing in glass. Sickly sweet first impression with biscuity malts and some fruitiness. Lacking in hoppiness.

Appearance: clear pale amber with one finger of creamy ivory head, excellent retention and patchy lacing. (3/5) Aroma: caramel/toffee, fruity esters, bready yeast, grassy. (6/10) Taste: moderate sweet, mild bitter. (6/10) Palate: medium body, soft carbonation, mild malty finish. (3/5) I really wasn’t expecting much from this, but it’s not bad at all. Definitely malty as promised, but also reasonably moreish. Not much of a hop profile to speak of, except for a little grassiness and a mild bitter finish, but it’s working for me. (12/20)

Bottle. Amber coloured beer with small head which diminishes quickly. A lovely balance of sweet and bitterness. Great biscuity notes make this beer very drinkable. Refreshing and crisp.

Vieze mouten gaan gepaard met een raar afwaswaterig zuurtje... ok bitter, maar verder vrij waardeloos

Massive sweetness on the initial aroma thankfully moderates a bit after a while, but it still remains a pretty sweet beer. Malt, honey, grass, bread, caramel, hay and orange at the finish, light bitterness, bit of spice and a hint of lemon. Not my style, but I thought this wasn’t too bad.
