COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle: Pasteurised.
The light, refreshing character of our award-winning golden ale is distinguished by its subtle elderflower aroma, reminiscent of a summer’s evening. Champion is particularly rewarding when served chilled. On a balmy evening in Stanpit Marsh, a cool breeze blows and a calm encompasses the vast reserve. Amongst the wild horses, you may see Golden Champion, a headstrong but loyal stallion who enjoys the warm days grazing in th fields. The subtle elderflower aromas of this delicately floral brew are reminiscent of a summer’s evening. This divine all-rounder is a great companion for smoky, chargrilled chicken and peppery rocket salad.

A medium orange-brown ale with a lot of effervescence from strong carbonation. An initially sweet and floral beer which develops a caramel edge down the glass. The elderflower is also noticeable with time and the maltiness becomes more apparent. There is alsoa hint of ginger. A medium length after taste of light malt character lingers at the end.

500ml bottle from Tesco. Pours clear gold, long-lasting white head. Aromas are strongly floral, light metallic note, and earthiness I associate with Fuggles. Taste is fruity-sweet, light bitter. Oily texture, clean finish. OK.

500ml bottle from Tesco. Golden colour with a thin white head. Aroma is flowery. Malty taste with, hops and citrus notes. Bittersweet finish but a bit watery.

Not keen on this. It pours light and fluffy and looks the part, but it’s way too sweet. Tastes almost off at times. There’s some fruit and grain trying to get in there but its overpowered by a nasty level of sweetness. Could be way better.

Appearance: Clear amber with finger thick white head. Aroma: Floral, fruity, elderflower, peppery, note of tangerine, malt and hint of caramel. Taste: Medium bitter and sweet with low sour. Palate: Thick grainy texture, light body, average carbonation, lingering dry, fruity, citrus, peppery biscuit finish. Comments: Tasty and refreshing with glass lace.

Wet musty grass. Perhaps a little skunky. Tan coloured pour. Well balanced, medium body on the palate, refreshing slightly bitter hop finish. Drinkable.

Fra flaske på rom 324 på Premier Inn, Goldsmith Rd. Nottingham 27 Jan 14. Gyldenbrun. Tynt filmskum. God maltaroma. Smaken er litt syrlig med et visst maltpreg. Noe fruktighet etter hvert.
