Bottle: Pasteurised.
The light, refreshing character of our award-winning golden ale is distinguished by its subtle elderflower aroma, reminiscent of a summer’s evening. Champion is particularly rewarding when served chilled.

Bottle at KØ10. Soapy aroma. Clear shiny golden colour. Very small white head. The flavour is also a bit soapy. Fruity and a little strange.

Oakes (10941) - Savusavu, FIJI ISLANDS - SEP 21, 2001
Sparkling copper colour; aroma of elderflowers and oven-fresh bread, with a pinch of sage and clover honey. The palate is light, the honeyish body is sweet but stylish featuring unfolding florals, winter melon, all built on a moderately bitter backbone. Sweet but refreshing in the finish, with more clover. It’s funny though, as my overall impression is that this beer is not as good as the sum of its parts. Let’s see what the other Ontario raters have to say.

Bottle from Sainsbury. Don’t know if I had a bad bottle of this but I have very little good to say about this. Amber with thin white head. Acidic hop aroma thin mouth with acidic finish which is not pleasant. Bit of artificial lemon fruit and a little green hop ont he end

yngwie (10760) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - MAY 11, 2009
Bottle. A clear, golden beer with a finger-thick off-white head. Fruity, berryish hops, some elderflower, pale malts and hints of blackcurrant. Pale malts, sweetness, elderflower, fruityness, some citrus and a smooth bitterness in the flavor. Dry, almost full-bodied mouthfeel. Medium lenght malty and hoppy finish with decent bitterness. A nice and refreshing beer, but for most uses, a bit too heavy on the elderflower. (090401)

Bottled. Light copper brown, decent creamy white head, some lace. Aroma is dominated by leather and malts. Leathery malty flavor with some hop presence. Medium-bodied. Reminds me abotu some Eastern European lagers.
