1.5 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 6/20
[500ml bottle from Asda High Wycombe] Shared with Jim. Surprisingly smooth and creamy for such an overly fizzy beer, but tastes somehow green and unripe - left a nasty sour taste. Not for me this one.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
500ml clear bottle bb05/2016. Thicker grainy yellow. Natural bouquet of sulphurous honey cereals. Drinks like a grainy golden ale/Helles crossover, the elderflower coming in like syrup in honey secco, joining hayish bitter notes in a peppery finish. Better and rounder than expected going by the bottle design.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
he light, refreshing character of our award-winning golden ale is distinguished by its subtle elderflower aroma, reminiscent of a summerís evening. Champion is particularly rewarding when served chilled.

4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Served in a tulip glass from a 500ml bottle. Pours clear golden with a medium long lasting head. Aroma is a lovely blend of elderflower, black pepper, apples and a bit grassy. Taste is very floral with definite elderflower present all the way through, some deep rose and a slight grassy flavour. Very well balanced beer, very easy to drink and extremely interesting. Definitely will have more!

Bottle. Clear golden body with a thick white head. Low carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of metal, watery grain and earth. Flavour of boiled cabbage, grass and cornflakes. Thin body with a watery, slightly oily mouthfeel. Light fizz. Astringent and vegetal.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
500ml bottle. Clear golden colour with a small creamy white head, long lasting. Aroma is lightly floral, elderflower. Taste is hoppy, sweet, with elderflower definitely in there unlike some other beers. Quite enjoyed this one.
