3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 dreamboat (186) - Brisbane, - NOV 15, 2004Very clear, mid gold, lightly carbonated with a thin head which fades quickly to nothing. Slightly fruity aroma, nothing like tht of the Golden Glory. Nice clean, dry, pale ale type of flavour.

Bottle to sampler
Toasted coconut, soap, hay, marmalade, oats. Clear yellow with a little effervescence and a ring of white bubbles. British hops and malts are showcased here, but unfortunately the soapy aroma is there in the taste as well. It's still a nice beer, but it cold be so much better.

Bottle - Clear bottle may be bad. First opening the spunky aroma goes everywhere. After a bit of time it mellows to toast with some citrus. Maybe like marmalade. I could just be hungry? A bit grassy, very interesting. Pale yellow with a fizzy head that disappears quickly. Very light, honey and crystal malts. For a light beer not bad, at least it has some flavor.

Bottle at home. Clear golden pour, thin white head. Aroma of cats piss, beer-in-clear-bottle, some British hops, spicy and somewhat fruity. Flavor is quite bitter, slightly grainy and with some floral hops. Light body, a bit messy, but refreshing nonetheless.

Elderflower, yes. Golden, yes. Champion I think not. I’d make up a vaguely witty remark about some contrast with champion status but I don’t want to. George Osborne cried today and tweeted that it was a moving, overwhelming day. Makes me vomit a little in my mouth. Osborne, not the beer. The beer is rather pleasant whereas Osborne is a

Golden colour. Aroma is quite floral. This sweet and floral flavour is not to my liking.

Now this is a delicious ale.Nice mellow caramel/toffee aroma, taste is similar with dry hop bitterness. Mouthfeel is creamy, with a light lingering dry finish. I could drink this one for a while.

Oct 2012 - really mild, sweet, elderflower (as advertised). No real bitterness. Extremely easy drinking. Can’t say anything bad about it.

45ml sample at the Fredericton Craft Beer Festival. Kind of the opposite of the Fursty Ferret, smelled mild skunk, apple and bread, but the taste was skunkier and unpleasantly sweet. Overall, may have benefitted from being canned.
