Tesco Drink award 2008 Winner.
To entice laborours at harvest time, land owners would offer the promise of a hearty meal and ale, the latter often having drastic effects on the harvest - hence the demand for less potent ales, providing refreshment without compromising the quality of flavour. Harvesters ale is a full flavoured fruity refreshing ale - but with a lighter touch

Had this just under 3 years ago it pours light gold in colour and has a light straw like aroma. In the taste it was light refreshing and abit fruity good for 2.5%.

Bottled@The 2nd ES/CS Beer Tasting. (thanks JP). Pale golden colour with small white head. Aroma is sweet malts, some parfume, mild cardboardy notes as well as some quite grassy notes. Flavour is malty, cardboardy, hayish, grassy and mildly bitter.

Bottled, 500ml from Tesco, Banbury. Yellow gold with white head. A beer that certainly reflects it’s ABV, wishy washy comes to mind, harsh lemony flavour on a watery body. Not enjoyable.

Bottle. Pours a clear golden color with a small white head. Has a fruity grany aroma with some hoppy hints. Sweetish malty slightly yeasty flavor with some hints of hops with a thin mouthfeel. Has a sweetish malty grainy finish with some hoppy hints in the aftertaste.

Bottle. Golden beer with a light head. The aroma is lightly hopped, and the flavour is yeasty, strongly dry and hopped. Overall quite a disappointing beer.

Umm bitter shandy. What, no, not shandy? Well sure tastes like it. Bubblegum, candy, lots of fizz. I could probably drink a fair few with only a burp as a side effect.

Clear yellow coloured with a small white head. Aroma of malts, brewmash and grain. Sweet flavour of malts and brewmash with notes of hops. Hoppy finish. Boring.
