"Bound to satisfy".
Current description: Hopping Hare is thrice hopped with three types of hop used during the brewing process. Aromatic Goldings and Cascade combine to provide an uplifting citrus-grapefruit and floral aroma, whilst First Gold carries the bitterness. The effect is a refreshing ale with a unique hoppy aroma and well-balanced bitterness that is bound to satisfy! It is a terrific match with roast lamb and spicy Thai dishes!
Previous description: Triple hopped - Super Styrian hops added twice to the coppers then Styrian Goldings added.

Bottled, from CityMarket, Vaasa, Finland. Clear pale golden, brief head. Perfumy nose with some elderflower. Sweetish with light body and clean mouthfeel. Some syrup, plenty of boiled vegetables. Lots of elderflowers. Low bitterness. Superificial.

500ml bottle. Clear golden color. Small head, stays. Dusty hops, grassy, peppermint in aroma. Sweet, candy, hops and grassy flavor. So fresh and refreshing. Nice one.

Blond color. It has some aroma of cereals. It’s lowly carbonated, with some cereals flavor, low bitterness; flat in all ways. Simple.

Small white head. Clear golden body with carbonation. Light floral citric perfumy aroma with strawy notes. Dry-sweet caramelly perfumy taste with fruity spicy notes. Mod-bodied. Sharpish, salty mouthfeel. Dry strawy fruity aftertaste with orangey notes. Nice, drinkable, not great. (0.5l bottle, from Co-op, Whitby.)

Shared this bottle @ benzai. Clear golden colour with a small white head. Smells marijuana, caramel, sweet, (Dutch: hopjes). Tastes watery, some caramel.. Bizarre sidetaste.. A mix between mushrooms and the stem of a marijuana bud. Also quite bitter. Thin body, soft carbo.

Bottle @ home shared by Dutchdrebus. Clear golden color, medium sized quickly diminishing white head. Smell and taste malts, bitter hops, lots of caramel. Decent bitter.

"Thrice hopped". Doesn’t that sound so much more elegant than "triple hopped"? British english may be more beautiful than american english, but the use of hops in the British brewing tradition is a bit dull compared to what we’ve become used to in the modern hop-driven US brew scene, in my humble opinion. This certainly goes for the Thrice Hopped Hopping Hare. Sure there are some hoppy notes to be found in the moderate aroma, but these rather overripe fruity notes and vague citric hints are not at all especially refreshing, and they are definitely outshone by the malty components. Sweet caramel, toffee and bready notes are the masters of this brew. The taste too has lots of malty sweetness, but luckily there is a moderate to light bitterness in the finish that balances the sweet feel. The moderate flavours follow the aroma, maybe with a tad more overripe citrus, especially initially and mid-palate. Once again I’m impressed by the mouthfeel of such a fairly low ABV beer, the Thrice (sorry, love that word, got to use it as often as possible) Hopped Hopping Hare has a medium body and a smooth, pleasant and softly carbonated mouthfeel. A good one. Thrice as good as the worst bitter I’ve had.
[50 cl bottle, 4.4% ABV, enjoyed 6 months before BB date, Golding and Cascade as aroma/flavour hops, First Gold as bittering, from Meny Alna, Oslo]
