2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 OlJuntan64 (1266) - Perth, - OCT 30, 2002
Medium amber clear with a large beige medium lasting head. Woody hops. celery and hint of pot scouring paste aroma. Medium bitter hops and light roasted malt sweet start. Slightly sweeter malty middle and finish. Couldn’t find any fruity features in this one but a bit smoother than the usual bitter.
3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 thunder_head1 (79) - Reading, Berkshire, ENGLAND - NOV 18, 2011

1.5 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 3/20 MrAleman (111) - Wiltshire, ENGLAND - SEP 10, 2008
Drinkable, quite a full flavour, fairly decently hopped, but just misses the boat somewhere.

Nice bitter ale.

Bottled. Pours a real amber colour with a soft head. The beer is smooth with a hoppy favour with a soft malt substructure. Pleasant but not a stand out.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Maria (8572) - Thisted, DENMARK - MAY 1, 2007
Dark amber, nice head. The aroma is both hoppy and malty. The flavour is quite full and smooth with brief sweetness and a refreshing bitterness. It has notes of roasted malt and the brew has a nice balance and is quite charming.
3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 faroeviking (8805) - HAITI - JAN 28, 2007
Bottle. Amber with a large beige mostly diminishing head. Aroma of some malt and hops. Moderate bitter hoppy flavour with a light roasty maltiness, some sweetness. Moderate bitter finish. A tasty English ale.
2.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 DJMonarch (9152) - Northwich, Cheshire, ENGLAND - FEB 4, 2006
Bottle 08/09/2001
Mid brown in colour with a slightly gassy aroma. This is fortunately somewhat alleviated by the malt finish.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 DonMagi (5599) - bantervile, Bedfordshire, ENGLAND - JAN 26, 2006
A superior beer to the newer vertion, though this bottle was a litle out of date. Aroma is balanced, with some toffee malt, minimal though. Taste is similar heading more towards the bittering/grassy hops, still very light though.
Alright.
