3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20Perfect perry colour, looking like a big glass of reisling. The smell is similar to aromatic white wine as well. It’s not until you take your nose from the glass and consider it for a while that you think "Hmm, yes. Pears." There’s a fruity acid quality at first. Upon tasting there’s a good gooseberry and pear sweetness. This is a real sweety and one of my best Perrys methinks.

500ml bottle. Pours pale green gold with little carbonation. Aroma is acidic pear with a hint of cheese. Taste is fruity to start, light acidic finish and pear on the aftertaste.

A nice perry. Not too sweet and very drinkable, slightly bitter on the tongue, but not overly so. Over all enjoyable.

Pours a light golden colour and has lots of pear in the aroma and has plenty of pear in the taste refreshing stuff.

Chilled from the fridge, it pours a bright, straw yellow, thin looking, with soda-like bubbles that cling to the sides of the glass afraid to release. Very faint apple core, pinewood and pulped whole pear nose. Watery thin, not much fruit, sits background to the sodapop fizz. Weak cordial pear notes, finishes crisp and short, a light, woody edge in back. One-dimensional is being generous, at least it is sparkling clean. Nothing offensive here, it is just that there is nothing here. Especially from the heart of the cider country! (50cL, BBE 11/11)

500ml bottle. Pours an attractive clear straw yellow, with of course no head, but lots of lasting bubble trails, and looks very alluring. Pear, a hint of old leather, hazelnut and musk on the nose, making a very complex aroma for a perry. There is some soft sweetness to begin, with vanilla notes, more hazelnut and the sweet aspect of pear skin. Tartness and acidity then develop, adding a bit of lemon to the mix, with the initial sweet flavour again coming through in the finish. This is one of the more comples perries that I have had, yet still very approachable. Perfect on a horribly muggy Sydney evening.
