It pours a clear yet quite fizzy orange with a medium, enduring white head. Crisp citric aromas mixed spice and herbs. My first impressions of the taste weren’t all that good. Vegetable and clove flavours hit the tongue with no obvious bitterness and it didn’t really progress past this. This is something vastly different from anything else I’ve tried and it’s nice in an odd sort of way but not really to my liking.
johndoughty (1632), cheslyn hay, West Midlands, England May 23, 2008 Bottle. Clear and left no lacing. Some sweetness ad a spicy nuttiness.Lingering aftertaste. Pleasant. cgarvieuk (2388), Edinburgh, Scotland Nov 26, 2007 bottle at home ... Nice golden orange ... pungent almostspicy belgian triple like hop, barest hing of pumpkin in nose... sweet , definite pumpkin tones... quite fruity with a little spice. Nice enough but gets a wearing Mungo (2474), Southampton, Hampshire, England Nov 22, 2007 Bottle. I’m now almost completely convinced that the person at badger coming up with these weird and wonderful new beers should be certified. Overroasted aroma like sesame seeds that have started to burn on top of a loaf. Hints of spice and sweet malt manage to clash quite well with the burnt flavours. Not much pumpkin flavour if any perhaps roasted into oblivion. harrisoni (5129), Ashford, Kent, England Nov 22, 2007 500ml bottle from Tesco. Amber colour with thin white head. Kind of a gingery spicy beer. Actually not too bad at all. I kinda like the spice. I shouldn’t, but I do and I don’t care. dj (370), Gloucestershire, England Nov 10, 2007 Bottle, 500ml. A golden colour with a small head. Aroma is pumpkin with a touch of spice. Taste has a fair bit of pumpkin with some hints of spice (cinnamon, clove), caramel and hops. Not particularly enjoyable.
