The Christmassy name is rather deceiving as this is an uneventful best bitter. Deep amber colour. Dry malt and not a lot else. Innocuous and inoffensive. A bit thin. Cask (handpump), Head of Steam, February 2005.

Cask conditioned & on handpump at The Flower Pot in Derby on 11/03/05. Mid / Dark brown colour. Good solid beer, pretty standard sutff. Quite bitter in after taste

Nothing in the aroma at all. A little sweet, a little bitter. Amber with no head. Thin bodied. Very boring.

UPDATED: FEB 7, 2005 Cask@The Head of Steam, Euston, London. Really thin and grainy. Pretty much nothing happening, just a way below average bitter. Boring.

Cask at the Head of Steam, Euston Station, London.. With Chris_o, joet, Duff & Kook. Aroma is non existant (aside from the tiniest trace malt when you stick your nose into it). Flavour is thin malt and tinny hops. Thin crap. A bad enough to a bad night for beer quality, although the company was good which is the main thing. Note to Hall & Woodhouse: stop brewing and concentrate on the Panda pops.
