This smells sweet similarly to ESB but tastes pale and bitter. Hard to find an edge over the competition, but then, this is not worse also.

golden, clear, minimal head, a strong oaky taste which wasn’t to my taste and because of this most of it went in the sun flowers !medium bitterness, full body, thick feel, soft carbonation,

Tanglefoot, my first introduction to beer! My dad worked at hall and woodhouse brewery and would get 12 cans a week free. At the age of 5 I soon realised every Sunday morning there would be a mouthful of the golden juice left in at least one of the cans from the previous night. I’ve had good times and bad times with tanglefoot but that unimportant. The beer is a lot lighter than badger brewery’s usual stuff and has a fantastic unique taste. I worked many years at the great dorset steam fair and out of the 100+ beers we would have on tap! tanglefoot was the beer that sold out in minutes. Bit of caution to be taken while drinking is that it creeps up on you!

50cl bottle at Hartley restaurant in Dalton in Furness. Appearance - golden amber with a decent head. Nose - honey and toffee with just an annoying whiff of butterscotch. Taste - honey and cornflakes. Palate - light to medium bodied with a tangy texture and a fairly good finish. Overall - not special but inoffensive.

Bottle, brown with a nice crisp hoppy nose. Touches of toffee, citrus, caramel and a dry hoppy and peppery bitterness.

Bottle from ASDA. Golden amber with a white head. Biscuity with citrus notes. Tastes a little chemically too. Not a brilliant beer.
