Itís nice, has a funny story on the can, quite strong for a bitter, sweet and fizzy for a bitter aswell. Drops well and is highly quaffable.

The aroma took me back to Leopard Lager in the late 80s. I got all nostalgic for my innocent years, but the taste was a little odd, making my tongue feel like Iíd licked a 9 volt battery.

Bottle. Pours a clear golden colour with a thin white head. Aroma of cereal malts, bread, some caramel, subtle fruit and slight spicy hops. Taste of cereal malts, some caramel, subtle fruits, a little mineral and slight spicy, grassy hops. Light bodied and moderate carbonation. A dry, slightly astrigent, grassy hop bitterness in the finish. Started off ok like a decent bitter but turned very thin, tasteless and astrigent. Quite disappointed because I used to like this on cask.

Bottle from Co-op, Minehead. Golden with a head. Lightly sweetened bitter and well balanced with its hops and malts.

Just had a Neame Spitfire before this. This is closer to a lager, less sweet. Grassy and bready. Only faint late sweetness. Itís easy to drink but I would probably take a decent lager over this, and there are certainly better ESBs.

440ml can from Asda. Very drinkable ale with good malt/hop balance. Golden colour, minimal head but fairly lively fizz. Aroma of malt, caramel and fruit. Taste is medium sweet and light/medium bitter, slight peppery spice. Finish is dry and faintly metallic. A good ale.

Malty well balenced bitter beer. Brilliantly drinkable. Caramel notes and a golden color. Best of British but nothing special.

Bottle at home. Clear golden with a white head. Mildly bitter, slightly spicy but not much in depth of flavour. Light body.

500ml bottle. Pours clear, moderate amount of white head reducing to lacing. Aroma is earthy, mildly skunky. Must have Fuggles in it. Very bitter. Finish is abrupt, with a lingering toasty aftertaste.

From can pours golden pale with small fizzy white head. Aroma is slightly spicy, grassy hop and caramel. Taste is mildly bitter and sweet. Easy drinking, not quite as spicey as I remember, decent but nothing special
