A golden looking beer which is deceptive. It doesn’t have that bite which most golden beers have. As is written in the Good Beer Guide, Deceptively drinkable. I went to my local one night to have two or three beers through out the night. Tanglefoot was on tap as a guest, within half an hour I was on my third pint.

Not a really fine smell, but definitely easy on the mouth, some fruity sparks and sweet in the end.

Relatively fruity & light body. Subtle bitterness and tangyness. It has a fine head and a great colour. With overtones of subtle melon flavour. A good session ale.

Caramel malts and floral hops in the pleasant and inviting aroma. Clear copper body with dense, fine-bubbled, creamy, off-white head that lasts and laces. Smooth caramel malts are strong up front followed by floral hop flavour and fair finishing bitterness. Medium body with moderate carbonation and creamy, soft texture. Can (BB Apr-06) on SouthWest Trains service from London to Exeter.

Last night in the UK, back to Germany tomorrow. Bottle bought at Tesco and shared with MichaelBruch. Aroma of thick malt, dark honey and cereals. Tastes of warm pie, honey and lightly caramel. Low carbonated, very easy and delicious to drink.

(500 ml bottle). This is really just a decent English bitter with a bit more alcohol. Other raters claim that the bottle is more heavily hopped than the draught version - that might be true, at least the golden beer in front of me has a lovely hoppy aroma and a nice bitterness. Good head. Rather light bodied (too light?), which makes the brewery advertize it as "deceptively drinkable". Very refreshing it is, would like to sample the draught version too.
