2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 8/20
Aroma of weak cardboard. Has minimal head and a brown-orange body. Flavour is nice sweet malts with a bready finish. Palate is way too weak and watery. It’s drinkable but not exciting.

This is different to the bottled version. It's flat and light golden coloured. But it's still nothing to write home about. Very wishy washey.

I usually like drinking strong ales. And although its strong, it hasn’t got a very bold taste. It leaves a nice nuty after taste though. If you want an ale which is strong but tastes weak, then its perfect for you. It makes a perfect steeping stone between and IPA and an Ale like Old Speckled Hen etc. Overall I’m fairly impressed and could quite happily drink it for a whole night. I would like to see a stronger darker ale from Badger

Cask at The Crown, Blandford, so the beer’s natural habitat; looked good in the goblet-like branded half-pint glass, clear, bright gold with wispy white head; aroma of faint flowery hops; taste of light satsuma orange, a gentle sweetness and the trademark Badger floweriness; a little sweet; a nice dry tanginess in the finish; in tip top condition, this was more than the sum of its parts and was a worthy accompaniment to my Sunday roast.
