Traditional premium ale, light golden in colour. Noticeable floral dry hop aroma balanced with biscuity and fruity notes.
Full bodied with a medium bitterness and a rounded, smooth, hoppy flavour. Hints of melon and pear. A clean finish with some hoppy linger.

4.9% gold colour with a good head, fruity aroma, slightly malty with some fruit flavor, quite a good drink.

Cask, handpump @ The Worlds End tied house, Taunton, Somerset.
Deep tawny gold, not truly bright, with a loose frothy white head that is shortlived. Bready, yeasty nose with floral hops peaking through and a touch of orange cordial, quite faint as is the case I’ve noticed with all Badger ales. Quite light, considerably shy on flavour. Burnt biscuit, fresh baked white bread and gritty malt, lightly sugary sweet with a good and welcome offering of floral rose petal notes, perfume, earth and pepper. Finish of average bitterness, short, clean. A little soapy in mouthfeel, otherwise it is safely slotted into the easy drinking category. Not bad, just lacks enough presence to make it noticeable. Oddly better as a pasteurised and filtered bottled bitter, go figure!

First tasted this in Coanes, Johnstone in August 1993. Cask, handpump dispense. Pale straw in colour with a thin white head. Sparkling citric notes in the long floral aroma and resiny mouthfeel. Good lacing. Pale malts deliver strong fruit notes of honeydew melon, lychees and lime. Fragrant hop resins give a bitter bite to the perfumed aftertaste. Sweetness returns to the finish with warming golden syrup notes. An excellent ESB style ale and highly recommended.

Great beer, frustrating as many Hall and Wooodhouse pubs will not sell it as the turnover on the barrel is too small.

Half pint, cask in perfect condition at the Badger pub St Stephens Tavern, Westminster. Crystal clear, copper coloured body, bright naked on the top. Malt-fruity smell with floral hops and mid-sweet malts. Caramel malts in flavour mixed with hops. Restrained bitter ending. Quite alright (London, 31.07.2011).

Clear orange pour with a short white head leaving moderate lace. Floral and fruit nose. Medium body and light carbonation. Biscuit, citrus flowers, grape and berries with some melon. Not overly bitter, but very pleasant and sessionable.

UPDATED: APR 23, 2013 Orangey brown in colour. Smell is bready malt and English floral hops. On taste there is little carbonation, so a traditional English bitter. Quite a bit of caramel in the flavour and subtle floral hops and bitterness on the finish. Quite understated in flavour but not bad at all.

Spoons Fest. Clear amber beer. Well balanced fruitiness with a good sweet toffee malt. Very drinkable.
