Bottle. Amber coloured with a good head, which soon calms to a thin layer of foam. I quite like the aroma of this bitter, even if it is somewhat strange. It’s rather a simple hoppiness with some mild hints of indistinguishable vegetable in there too. The flavour is a basic malt character, that’s not bad but the finish really lets this one down in my eyes. It leaves me with an fairly undesirable taste on my palate which is difficult to describe; a touch of a floral quality and some dusty ’off’ hops. Fairly weak and bland; another rather strange tasting brew from Badger.

Bottle from asa. Aroma is appley, caramel, toffee apple, basicly a very pasturised green king type beer. Taste is similar, but the malty sweetness isnt too over powering and its quite easily drinkable. But i wont ever have it again.

500ml bottle from Asda. Amber, Badger yeast aroma. OK in mouth. Bit empty due to the pasteurisation. Some candy sugar. It promises fruit and spice on the bottle. Yes there is some good rich fruit cakey fruit and some spicy hop on finish. It’s got some orange fruit to go with the Badger yeast character that runs all through it. As Badger beers go, it’s alright.

Copper beer with white head. Peppery hop aroma. Flavour of the same peppery hops riding on the back of the malt base with nothing in its way. Gassy mouth feel and a quick finish. Text book low/medium abv bitter.

500ml bottle from Asda. Copper with a thin white head; vegetable hop aroma; rounded malt flavour with a sharp burst of hops. Rather straightforward, but drinkable.
