a fairly amateurish ipa, honestly flavoursome with biscuitty caramelly body and some fruity passionfruit and grape hop flavour, but it’s just too rough and ready - acetaldehyde and celery in the aroma hinting at unhappy yeast (although not actually infected i dont think) and a short dry finish. better than the last orange brewed beer i had....

750ml bottle. Pours a medium copper, with a small, loose and rapidly fading beige head. In typical IPA style, the nose is very hop-dominated. Bitter grapefruit, pine and some leafy aromas are supported by a faint hint of caramel. Grapefruit and lemon are prominent flavours to begin, with a touch of riesling coming through next. Caramel malt appears in the body, with some faint biscuit undertones leading into a bitter, drying finish. A nice enough IPA, but lacking the "wow" factor that tends to be associated with the style.
