A Golden ale, with a fresh, soft palette, unique fruity hint and a snappy bitterness in the finish that calls for another … dangerously drinkable. Inspired by the traditional summer ales from the heart of the English countryside. This beer delivers in all departments: Huge thirst-quenching abilities, Pairs brilliantly with a wide range of dishes - try it with pizza, pasta and anything from the BBQ, Has a highly distinctive taste and aroma that entices and delights. Our Pale Ale combines the highly praised, finest quality English Maris Otter malted barley with premium Joe White Australian Malt. The distinctive aroma and flavour of the beer is delivered by a healthy measure of English Goldings Hops. An ale to be savoured and remembered.

Alright hops in the taste, little bit of Malt, too. Bit chemically. Not much in the aroma. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Cloudy yellow, low head. Grainy marzipan aroma. Medium light body. Tastes like a mazarin cake, light hop aromatics in the finish. It has a distinctive flavour, that is for sure - I’m just not sure that is what I am looking for in a pale ale - more in a triple maybe.

Bottle - pours gold with lacy White head. Aroma is cereal, nuts and something sweet. Taste is malty with a touch of citrus, finish is moderate not very bitter. Palate is light to medium.

330mL bottle from Beer Cartel. Pours a slightly hazy pale gold body, small white head. Doesn’t offer a great deal on the nose - toasty malts, slight marmalade-y citrus, earthy hop note. Medium bodied, some chewiness about it, moderate carbonation. Opens out a bit more on the body - nice toasty malt, typically earthy, spicy British hops. Relatively low bitterness to finish. Easy drinking, don’t mind it.

A flat head and an orange glow. Sweet and sticky with a bit of home brew in there. Funky and manky.

Bottle. English style pale ale’s are not really my thing. Lager like smell and flavour but with just enough hop character to keep me happy enough to finish the bottle

After searching for a beer with abit of flavor I settled on Badlands Pale Ale. I use to drink Coopers Green and altho I like to support local Aussie companies, I became bored with it. This is now my beer of choice. The initial flavor can be alittle unexpected but the after taste is great and the mix of flavors is vibrant. I like to describe the experience akin to drinking a fresh cola compared to flat. At last a beer with full flavor. I must admit that I’m abit surprised and disappointed by many of the ratings but hell.. no skin off my nose - I love it! And I take it along to parties and friends to see their reaction, not a bad one yet. I’ve also tried their IPA - bit ruffer but nice, recommend you try a couple of Pale Ales before you start on the Dark Ale but upto you.

Bottle 33 cl from Oak Barrel, Sydney, on July 17, 2013.
Clear golden color, big fluffy off-white head. Malty, sweet, grainy scent, a slight bit herbal. Hoppy, sweet, sugary, malty, grainy taste. Weak mouthfeel, medium high dry grainy bitterness.

Pours an orange colour. Aroma is some malt, hints of fruit and something that, for some reason, resembled corn. Taste is pretty light on most things with little bitterness. Pretty watery. Wasn’t too impressed at all.

Pale golden colour. Malt aroma with a background of sharp fruit. Malty, smooth flavour with medium low carbonation. A touch of citrus bitterness in the aftertaste. Ok.
