COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A rich beer that displays the flavor of cacao. An ever richer version of our Chocolate Stout. A vintage beer that can also be enjoyed after cellering. (Note: They also make a regular Chocolate Stout without the year added, at 7%)

33 cl bottle vintage 2011, bottled 28.01.11
Aroma is somewhat porter‐like with dark chocolate, coffee and roasted malt. Dryish flavour has semi‐dark milk chocolate and coffee. Very good, one of the best japanese beers.

33 cl bottle. Brewed on 28.01.2011.
Pours dark ruby red colour with minimal head. Aroma of milk chocolate, coffee, dark malts, cacao and some licorice. Flavour of chocolate, coffee, dark malts, ash, distant orange and some caramel. Very smooth palate, medium-bodied. Very well balanced brew. NIce!

Very smooth body. Excellent milk chocolate flavor, alcohol well hidden. Fairly malty. Full bodied. Nice Winter Warmer. Just wish I had bought a couple to age.

Bottle from Yamaoka. Lovely tan, bubbly head on a black, shiny beer. Roasty, fruit and chocolate aroma. Creamy and sweet. Sweet flavor with dark fruits (cherry, raisin), vanilla, chocolate, wood,, and alcohol. Woody, roasted finish. Noo edges. Tasty, and not very burnt or bitter, but hops come in the finish too. More like a porter or other dark ale than a stout, but the flavor is nice.
