Head is initially small, fizzy, white, fully diminishing. Body is light amber. Aroma is moderately hoppy (grapefruit, resin), lightly malty (cookie). Flavor is moderately sweet, moderately acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, moderately acidic, moderately bitter. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation.

Brewtopia 2004: Clear orange with a white head. Yeasty taste with some light bittering hops. Medium bodied, starts and ends lightly bitter. Dry and crisp finish.

draught at brewtopia - reminded me a lot of their Everything IPA, but not nearly as flavorful or enjoyable - a lot of the same bready characteristics are there, and you really can taste the poppy seeds, but there is nothing really stand out about this pale ale - I began sensing the rather gimmicky nature of their beers after having this one.

A little odd. The pepper makes it odd. The malts are light but the hops balance everything out very nicely.

Bottle. An amber golden color with a thin laced tan head. Bready, poppy seed, and toast aroma. The flavor is odd with the poppy seed and pepper influence. I did not like this beer, and I did not finish it.

Looks like it wants to be crystal clear but hasnt quite made it there yet. very deep orange color with a very rocky white head. fruit and bread aroma. the taste starts out caramel malty and then develops into a breeady taste followed by a sour bitterness. the body is medium to heavy. this beer sticks around in my mouth when i am done drinking it. in order to get a better rating either need to lighten it up so that i dont have to taste it for so long or get rid of that weird sourness in the finish.

Clear color, light carbonation, decent foam. Aroma of fruit and peppery spice. Palate is smooth but light. Mild caramel and biscuit at the front, turns sugary. Light hop bitterness in the finish. Thought this was going to be crap, nice surprise.

Iron in the nose that develops to a chardoney charactor as the beer warms and a thick lush head that turned to nothing quickly. Fair amount of malt but lacking the citrus I would expect in an american pale. Odd bitterness comes and goes on the side of the tounge. Alcohol becomes very present for ony 5.25 abv. Slight dryness in the finish and a bitterness that is somewhere between hops and chemicals. Not sure whats going on in this beer, it was almost like drinking 3 diferent ones.

This is better than the pilsner, yet not that great of a pale ale. This almost tastes like a pale lager, if their is such a thing. I just took another sip, and realized that I still rated it a little high.
