CaptainCougar (4663), Rockville, Maryland, USA Nov 18, 2007 Bottle at the RBSG grand tasting on 6/23/07 courtesy of chris_o: Pours a transparent dark copper mahogany with a frothy, wispy-lacing dark tan head. Aroma of lightly toasted dark caramel malt with a touch of bready yeast. Body starts with some lightly sweet earthy drier caramel malt with a touch of black pepper and coriander toward the finish. A little thin. yespr (6889), Copenhagen O, Denmark Aug 4, 2007 70 cL bottle. Pours deep brown with a huge light brown head, beautiful. Sweet malty and highly spiced aroma. Slight smoked, coffee and spiced flavour. Strong liqourice flavour with heavy ingefaer and timian notes. Dry and slight flat finish. Rather strangely spiced and unbalanced. faroeviking (4396), Faroese Autonomous Beer Republic, Denmark Jul 2, 2007 Big bottle. Pours a black colour with a nice creamish light brown head. Strong spiced aroma of thyme indeed with liquorice, ginger and some coriander. The flavour is very spiced with thyme and coriander, liquorice, roasted malt and caramel. Very spiced well lasting roasty finish. A good experiment but too much thyme in it making me give it "only" 3.5. sliffy (1951), Columbus, Ohio, USA Jun 30, 2007 RBSG 2007: Following maniac’s lead here: Poured a dark brown with a tan head. Aroma, roasty malts, spice, caramel and molasses. Flavor, caramel, fruity, toffee, and yeasty. Good stuff. maniac (2022), Richmond, Virginia, USA Jun 28, 2007 RBSG 2007 Grand Tasting.
