Brewed for those dark malt drinkers, Strong Back is a smooth high alcohol content stout beer. With roasted barley, special fermentation and powerful yeast that is cold filtered, with no artificial color. Strong Back has a rich thick feel that brings out all flavors to a mouth coating sensation and pleasant bitterness.

In the shadow of the phenomenal success of its first product SANDS beer, the Bahamian Brewery and Beverage Company softly launched another product to the Bahamian public. "Strong Back is our latest product and a truly genuine Bahamian stout" said owner James "Jimmy" Sands.

"I had a few goals when I decided to open my own brewery and one was to offer Bahamians their own stout, rich in taste but not bitter in after-taste."

The stout, formidably named Strong Back, is a dark beer created by using roasted malts or roast barley, and will now make the third product for the all-Bahamian brewery in Grand Bahama.

Strong Back met with great success from local fans of the Brewery, including the very supportive Grand Bahama shipyard crew who often visit and even have cookouts on the grounds. One such employee was heard commenting to the local radio announcers who were on site that you should "drink Strong Back every day cause it keeps the heart attacks away!"

Strong coffee, roasted malt and chocolaty aroma. Strong flavors coming from the coffee, sweet taste from the chocolate. If your in downtown Nassau, it may not be worth a trip to a sketchy bar to try this, but if you can find a good enough place, definitely go for it.

Thanks to CristyD for bringing this back from the Bahamas for me. 330ml bottle. Pours black with a foamy light brown head. Subtle aroma of sweet chocolate malt. Roasty sweet flavor. Medium bodied. Not bad at all.

Pours black in the glass, with a tan head that never really subsides. Smooth mellow flavor of roasted malt, cocoa with a hint of a mocha coffee bitterness in the aftertaste. Weak aroma roasted malt. Overall, a very nice stout for warm weather. Itís not too heavy, just right. Thanks to BarZigKin for giving me a bottle of this from his cruise.

Dark brown pour thick dense head. Aroma of barley, tang. Tastes grainy, earthy dirt some saccharine. Slight bitter chocolate. Slight thick to palate but mostly watery. Great offering for a Caribbean beer, the best of my trip. Alcohol is well hidden and smooth.

11.2 oz bottle 1/27/14 (Cruise Port)-Pours a brownish black with a small head. Aroma of caramel, toffee, roasted malts, and slight chocolate. Taste of the same with some slight coffee. This full bodied brew was quite tasty and blew away any expectations I had. Nice job.

Can, thanks to Sean, who seems hell bent on spreading Bahamanian love across the continental US of A. Good thing there is a shot for that now. Pours deep clear ruby black with a large tan creamy head that dissipates with nice lacing. Aroma is roasted malts, caramel, toffee, rye bread. Flavor is medium sweet, light bitter, bit of ashtray, molasses, pumpernickel. Medium plus body, creamy mouthfeel. This shit ainít bad; stop crapping on it you haters!

Canned courtesy of HOMER. Fucken A, bro! Can from box aroma, pours a thin but very opaque black with a very nice brown head. Aromas of molasses, some ash, perhaps a whiff of cigarette butts. This tastes very much like a Baltic porter and not a foreign stout, but itís not like I really know what Iím talking about or anything. I just make shit up half the time. Taste is slightly roasty but more like molasses/tobacco/driveway than roasted barley. Which is a nice change of pace. Finish is semi dry with a bit of bitter malt. Pretty fucken good.

Can at the brewery. Poured into a nice little plastic cup. Black in color, brown head. Nose is full of chocolate, but stops short of being roasty. flavor is full of dark and light chocolate, very creamy with a full mouthfeel. Fruity esters in the nose and flavor as it warms. This is truly great stuff!
