I picked this up in Paris, October, 2011 at La Cave a Bulles. Cloudy orange. Dry with yeast, it is not sweetened. Some grain, and a light flower quality. Smooth palate. I know the scores are not great but I liked it. It has some complexity and good flavor.

Bottle: unclear, amber coloured, stable yellowish foamy layer, clumps visible, vinous fruity nose, dried berries and toasted malt underneath; moderately sweetish-bitter flavourwith a light acidity, quite soft, medium to full bodied; the finish, dominated by yeast and fruits , reminds You a bit of a sour ale. Nice brew…

(bottle, 75cl) Hazy, dark amber colour with loads of floaties and a tanned medium-sized foamy head. Slightly yeasty, fruit-accented and delicately vinous aroma with notes of dark and red berries on a mildly toast-malty background. Slightly sweet flavour with a tinge of sourness, only light to medium bodied with a calm carbonation. Delicately toasty malty base with mildly sourish and slightly vinous berry-fruity notes; medium-dry, mildly sweet and fruity finish a pleasant level of acidity. 29.II.12

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20 Quack-Duck (5921) - Down South, GERMANY - APR 2, 2011
bottle from Village de la Bière Strasbourg, labelled "Brasserie Au Baron Saison St. Médard brune" - there is also an ambrée available. Hazy brown colour, large beige head. Fruity nose with caramel. Rather light for 7%, fells a lot lighter. Malty, caramel, blueberries, black currant, red grapes, a bit vinous. Smooth carbonation. Nice.
2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 jaghana (2086) - Strasbourg (France), FRANCE - MAR 17, 2011
Bottle 75cl. A dark beer with huge head. Nose has champagne notes. Aroma is dry, spicy, cardamom like and some intense clove notes with a slightly sourish and red-berries finish, some medicinal hints too. Easy to drink but very strange spice body.

Murky golden color with a medium sized, white head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of hay, toffee malts, spices, earthy yeast, and some barnyard. Taste of citrus, toffee malts, grass, yeast, and toasted dough. Nice and rustic.
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 MmmcKay (891) - Brentwood, Tennessee, USA - OCT 3, 2010
Bottle purchased at La Cave à Bulle. Shared with the boys in Nash Vegas. Smells funky, but the good kind of funk. Peppery. Zips in your mouth. Yeasty cider notes. Plenty of citrus as well. Spicy coriander and herbal. Very refreshing. Lots of particulate in the beer however. Its appearance get very low marks. This is an ugly looking beer. The packaging is nothing special either. Tastes and smells great though.
