Draft at airways. Pours jet black with bright golden brown edges. Dense creamy tan head. Big roasty nose with light cocoa backdrop. Creamy medium body with very lively carb. Roasty cocoa mid palate. Long dry finish.

On tap at The Pine Box in Seattle, WA. Pours a black body with a finger-width, creamy, dark brown head that dissipates slowly and leaves a nice lacing. Aroma is roasty and earthy with a nice chocolate note and a hint of fruity esters. Flavor is similar. Roasty with a nice chocolate backing and a medium-light earthy bitterness. Touches of fruity esters before this finishes dry, roasty, and earthy before leaving a lengthy aftertaste. Medium body and a moderate carbonation. Overall, a pretty straightforward, but enjoyable porter. Roasty and earthy with a nice chocolate backing that stays sessionable and dry. Nice beer.
