3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Draft at brewery. like winter in appearance/aroma, but extra vanilla, whiskey, and oak. Lots of vanilla and heat. Creamy texture, soft carbonation. Moderately sweet, some heat, pretty chill; quiet finish, short. Not nearly as much flavor as expected. Texture is a bit thin.

4.2 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Serving: sampler from tap at Bainbridge Island Brewing Taproom.
Aroma: moderate-to-heavy wood aroma.
Appearance: small, off-white, initial head with no lacing and fully diminishing longevity. Clear, medium-brown body.
Taste: moderate-to-heavily sweet, caramel, whiskey initial flavor and finish with strong oak overtones and long duration.
Palate: medium-full body with oily texture and soft carbonation.
Overall: outstanding aroma and flavor. The best whiskey barrel-aged beer I’ve ever tried.
