COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
We love pale ales of all stripes. This one is a a bit stronger and bolder than is typical. Its hallmark character stems from hopping (both kettle- and dry-) with four different varieties of American ‘C’ hops: Columbus, Chinook, Citra and Cascade. 4-C Strong Pale Ale represents the sort of adventurous play on a classical beer style that helped to ignite the American, and now world, craft beer renaissance.

Draught at Tadg’s. Big sharp grapefruity nose, maybe some barnyard, too. Cloudy pale yellow, quarter-inch smooth white head. Mild initial, then malt, pleasant fruitiness (peach and orange) and all those hops ramp up in mid palate. Thick bitter final. Thick, medium-heavy body. The hops work well together. Good stuff.

Draught at Bashamichi. Sweet and fruity, estery, with peach, melon, and very nice citrus hop character. Great fruit. Lovely, and very drinkable

Keg at Harajuku taproom. Slightly cloudy orange colour with small white head. Aroma is fruity, bit of citrus, some tropical elements, not as full on as some of these seasonals have been. Also bit of biscuity malt. Taste is again fruity, but more like orange, and slightly bitter. Very drinkable. Nice.
