COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Beneath the cool facade of the warrior, a red-hot flame of intensity, determination and, yes, anger burns. So it is with this unpredictable Brown Ale: fleeting malty sweetness and warmth hide complexity, a barely controlled bitterness, and, naturally, a bit of an angry edge. Youíve really got yourself into a situation now. "Anger is energy. Use it, then let it go." Kampai!

Angry Boy Brown pours a deep mahogany color with a light khaki head. The smell is of molasses and light spices, especially nutmeg and black pepper. Wet skunky hops come through. Taste-wise, this beer is much hoppier than expected. Wet skunky, resinous pine hop flavors dominate and the malts take a back seat. The mouthfeel is medium thick, dry, with very light carbonation. Overall this is a decent beer. Maybe a few too many hops for the style with a bit dry of a finish.

Tallahassee, Fl - Beer Stop - bottle - split with Aurelius. Murky dark orange pour, bubbly, soft white head. Some vanilla, light spiciness and cake mix in the aroma. Cake mix maltiness in the flavor, some slight vegetable funkiness, yeasty, cloying sweetness. Smooth mouthfeel. Had better brown ales.

Bad label, muddy-ruddy brew. Vanilla, cakey, woody aroma. Tastes pretty much like it smells. Effervescent, woody, medium heavy body. Beer Stop, Tallahassee.

Poured from 360mL bottle. Cloudy, brown with beige head. Mild caramel malt and toasted malt with subtle floral hops, flavour finishes with an interesting sticky, sweet-ish tamarind/toffee like taste. Quite an interesting blend, tastes good, but a little bit odd.

Pours brown-amber with a medium off white head. Aroma is molasses and not quite (almost) chocolaty malts. Taste is heavy sweet malts up front with a bitter hoppy twang taking over the mid palate and leading to a steady bitter finish. Tastewise, this could almost be a black IPA, but the colorís all wrong. A great brown, however, packed with flavor.

Bottle at the Roadhouse BBQ, Bangkok. Poured a hazy dark amber with a thin, broken, off-white head. The aroma is surprisingly peachy. The flavour is medium bitter with a big fruit, hop liqourice bitter palate and a little toothpaste with a lingering bitter finish. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Itís the strangest "brown ale" Iíve ever had!
