COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Beneath the cool facade of the warrior, a red-hot flame of intensity, determination and, yes, anger burns. So it is with this unpredictable Brown Ale: fleeting malty sweetness and warmth hide complexity, a barely controlled bitterness, and, naturally, a bit of an angry edge. You’ve really got yourself into a situation now. "Anger is energy. Use it, then let it go." Kampai!

On tap @ Copenhagen Beer Celebration. Slightly hazy deep orange-brown body with a small white head. Aroma is sweet and mellow caramel tones with pronounced graininess in the back. Hints of syrup and butterscotch, in "the right way". Taste is mellow caramel and butterscotch, grains and deep malty tones. Smooth mouthfeel, medium carbonation. OK, but lacks the peculiarity that I’ve come to associate with Baird - this is pretty standard fare.

360ml brown bottle. 6% abv as per label. Pours out a hazy amber/brown. Fat and creamy whitish cap that receeds slowly and leaves a nice cramy frothy surface and excellent lacing. Aroma of light citrus hops. Taste is up front hoppy with grapefruit and a bit of grass, light chocolate malts and light toasted malts. Light bodied, average carbonation. Crisp and hoppy, a nice beer but really tastes more like an APA to me.

Draught. Mild grainy aroma, slightly roasted. Cloudy dark brown colour. Small stable off-white head. The flavour starts off nicely malty. Has a mild grassy hop flavour. Not so bitter, but well-balanced.

Bottle from Brewdog online store. Pours dark reddish with a big creamy white head. Aroma is fruity and citrus hop aroma. Taste is initilally deep malty, nice and smooth, but there is also some serious citrussy hops coming to the surface near the end, a very nice and dry one, that is. Very good beer.

Cloudy brown with a small pale head. Aroma is brown sugar, dates, plums, raisins. Slightly creamy mouthfeel, touch of bitterness and astringency on the finish (which unfortunately seems to compound a little as you drink more).  Taste is dates, figs, bitter orange and a touch of wood.

The beer pours a rusty red brown color The nose hits you with a fresh lychee with light notes of blueberry and huckleberries. Medium body. The flavor is a light lychee and blueberry followed by a date flavor and then a bitter bourbon wood with a finish of dark caramel. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
