Pale Ale is the Pilsner of the ale world — myriad versions of it are brewed by ale breweries around the world. In this take, we ferment with our house Belgian ale yeast (a witbier strain) and incorporate a unique blend of fruity, grassy, herbal hop varieties (Galena, Santiam, Motueka, Styrian Golding, Saaz), all of which are used in dry-hopping. The flavor is fruity and full in the mouth, finishing with a very pleasant spicy dryness.

Bottled. A hazy golden beer with a white head. The aroma has notes of straw, malt, and caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, straw, and hops, leading to bitter finish. Thanks KyotoLefty for sharing.

Bottle from Good Beer. dry Belgian yeast nose, earthy, some minerals, grapefruit zest, caramel. Medium amber-orange color with a thick, fine head. Malty flavor, caramel, light stewed fruits, chocolate, minerals and earth. Light bitterness in the finish, but quite dry. Pleasant, easy drinking, dry summer beer. Not surprising in flavors, but solid. Not a whole lot of dry hop aroma left.

Bottle from Tanakaya, 06/30/2013. Pours golden orange, white head, dies to a hazy foam on the surface, decent lacing. Aroma is pale malts, Belgian yeast, with floral, fruity notes and grassy bitter finish. Taste is pale malts, slight sweet offset, and a spicy, grassy finish, dry with light bitterness. Light body, crisp. Decent.
