Commercial Description:
Imperial Stout is the biggest of the black beers and to drink Baird Dark Sky is to experience a foreboding libation. The aroma is gorgeously complex (dry hopping with American Centenniel & Amarillo hops) and the flavor is a stunning smorgasbord (chocolate, toffee, herbs, coffee, licorice, etc.). The mouthfeel is soft and enveloping. The finish is piquantly acrid and warming (alcohol approximately 7.6%).

This is when the night started getting good at Ushi Tora. If I didnt have to leave by ten, this beer would have been the beginning of a major hangover. Pour is pitch black and still as night...looked like motor oil mixed with molasses. Nose is roasty malt, figs, coffee, sweet fruit, tobacco, smoked meats and a shit load of other stuff as it warms. Flavor is a bit nutty with roasted malts, tobacco, hop bitterness and a touch of alcohol. The alcohol burn works here. Palate is dry with deceptive carbonation. Medium/full bodied. Nice brew.

2008 version. Pours black with a creamy tan head. Malty, dark fruits, roasted, noticeable hop aroma as well. Deeply roasted malts, bitter chocolate, dark fruits, and a malty, chocolate cake finish. Full, sticky body. Damn fine stout, damn fine.

Pitch black color, very rich dark chocolately nose with notes of dark fruit and baked cake. Dark chocolate, baked cake, dark fruit, very rich succulent mouth with a rich chocolately finish. Yum
