Jan 29, 2008 Caramel in color with little head. Slightly fruity nose, caramel malts, chocolate, light toasted nuts. Body is a tad thin. Caramel malts, a little toasted, some fruits, and chocolate. Sorta bitter in the end. The alcohol comes on in the finish, but not all that noticeable. Pretty solid dopplebock.

Jan 24, 2008 Smooth milk chocolately and caramel malty brew. Malt profile is spot on. Dangerously drinkable for 7%. Perhaps a bit fuller bodied would have helped. The commericial description is pretty spot on. This is what I want to drink next to a fire reading a good book.
