COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The base malt used in Smoke & Fire is completely beachwood smoked malt from Germany. As the smoke vanishes, a kiss of Habanero fire appears — not enough to burn, just enough to excite and captivate.

Tap at Nakameguro taproom. Dark brown, small bubbly gold head. Aroma is very smoky and spicy, can smell the habanero definitely. Taste is nice. Got the real ale texture. Initial smoky roast, hint of the pepper heat at the end maybe, but quite subtle. Decent enough but the real ale thing isn’t doing it for me so much. Would probably prefer a keg version.

Hand pump at Bashamichi. Black, with a nice tan head. Smoky, peppery nose, with light chocolate and coffee. Light, soft sweetness, a bit of chili pepper, a touch of veggies. Rather smoky. Decent but not thrilling.
