Baird Four Sisters Spring Bock is brewed in the spirit of a German Maibock, albeit one of the type that was brewed centuries ago in the city of Einbeck and that was noted for its generous use of malted wheat. Four Sisters Spring Bock sports a deep copper-gold color and enjoys a sweet floral nose from aroma additions of Sterling hops. In the mouth, a rich malty character will introduce itself before quickly giving way to an extremely smooth, dry finish in which a hint of honeyed-malt flavor and estery alcohol character lingers.

On tap at Naka-meguro taproom spring 2014. Light brownish amber color with a modest off-white head. Aromas of plum, fig and currant with a lot of malts on the nose. Creamy mouthfeel that is sweet on the palate. Sweet and smooth finish.

Draught at Bungalow. Pale amber with small head and some lacing. Aroma has lots of malts and sweet fruit. Nice plum flavour, not too sweet, almost a sherry flavour. Very interesting beer with good flavours.

Mild cocoa, vanilla aroma. Rich chocolate cereal flavor, apple, sour plum, touch of pepper, mild roasted coffee, sweet finish. Interesting fruity dark, maybe a tad too sweet.

7% as part of a tasting set at Dig Bar. A light copper color with a thick filmy head that clings to the glass. A fruity grainy malt aroma. Very smooth full bodied beer. The taste is creamy graham & biscuit, lots of malt character. Pretty good stuff.

630ml bottle. Pours with a big head of small compact bubbles. Golden amber colour and very clear. Grassy malt aroma with a clean fresh mouthfeel that leaves a soapy aftertaste.

Malty sweet brew. Lots of cereal, cookie dough, grain. A bit too rich for me and not as balanced as I would like.Good solid body. Decent.

Tap at the Naka-Meguro Taproom. Clear amber with thick foamy head. Nose hit me from accross the room, sweet, floral hops and faint spices. Quite sweet, with some tart fruit notes, not entirely soft on the palate. Couldnt quite seem to make sense as I rated this one, but I really enjoyed it. Perhaps not malted and marshmellowy enough, as I listened to others.

Draught at Baird Naka-Meguro Taproom. Clear deep golden. Sweet and honeyish with clean, hard bold mouthfeel. Fruity with flavour of grains, honey and, well... that’s all. Finishes with low bitterness. Lacks the central part of a bock: malt softness and depth. This is just a strong, bold end edgy lager.

UPDATED: MAY 21, 2011 Bottle. Made with wheat malt, unmalted barley and sugar. Reasonably malty, sweet, fruit, honey and caramel aroma, though fainter than expected. Deep amber color with a tall white head. Rich, sweet malt flavor, grains, biscuits, caramel, honey, fruit. Bitter finish of hops and alcohol. Rather hoppy, and enjoyable, with nice malt character.
