3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle at Hashigo Zake. Pours a beautiful radiant reddish amber, tan head.
Aroma has smooth chocolaty, fruity oddness. A big full bodied flavour, kinda of nutty with Belgian-esq flavours, wierd esters. In a good way. Spicces are minimal and no hint of the cinnamon.
Tart, bitter and fruity, interesting but not amazing.

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
( 21.4oz bottle) Pours a medium brown color, when held to light it is a deep orange in appearance. Lacing on the glass is superb, 1 finger head thatís gone quickly. There isnít much to be smelled here to be honest. Some sweet malt. The taste is however pretty distinct. There is a nice chocolaty malt up front which is delicious. Lingering bitterness indicates the presence of some hops, but isnít bad at all. Quite nice actually and never gets in the way of the malt. The yeast profile reminds me almost of the complexity of a Belgian beer, but not quite. Pretty well balanced. Maybe the most perfectly carbonated beer Iíve had yet, the tiny bubbles dance across my tongue unlike any beer Iíve had yet. Weight of the beer is a little thinner than Iíd prefer, but the carbonation being so good keeps its score really high.
Highly recommended. Iím not sure the cinnamon or fig ever show their presence, but this is a good beer and you should try to find it.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Copper colored with a nice off-white head. Unusual aroma of fruits, light cinnamon and some faint cooked vegetable notes. Lightly sweet candied fruit flavors back by caramel and chocolate malts. Cinnamon spiciness comes through towards the finish, but is not over powering.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
UPDATED: JUL 9, 2010 Bottle, 63.3cl. 7% ABV. It pours an unclear, dark golden body under a nice off-white head. Some cinnamon in the initial aroma, followed by a malty sweetness, some hops and a spiced touch. The flavor is a nice blend of cinnamon and malty sweetness, with a fine bitterness from the hops. Medium to full body with pleasant carbonation. Spiced, malty sweet finish. A rather unusual beer, but sure nice. Rating: 7-4-7-4-15-3.7. 090821
Bottle, 36cl, at Patricks. 2007 vintage. Itís a hazy, golden-orange beer with an off-white head. Slightly oxidized nose, with malts, notes of cinnamon and an earthy touch. Sweet, malty flavor with some cinnamon, quite low on bitterness. Full body. An easy drinkable beer that seems to best served fresh. 100213
