Pours dark brown with a soft tan head. Big chocolate nose, roasty, with a soft dark cherry note to it. Very smooth on the palate, chocolate up front, with a balanced finish and another soft cherry note.

Aug 9, 2008 Taste 8/8 Bottle. Looks: Black and opaque. Nice thick head. Aroma: Nice smoke,bacon. Taste: Mostly smoked bacon. Spice and roast. A little sweet malt. Some chocolate. Less astringent than a lot of porters. Very drinkable and nice mouthfeel. Smooth. Mellow bitter in the finish.

Aug 6, 2008 Pours a dark brown color with a tan head. Aroms is of roasted malts, coffee, chocolate, and molasses. Flavor is stronger then the aroma led on to. Chocolate dominates the flavors with roasted malts, coffee, and molasses. Dry finish that doesn’t linger.

Jul 26, 2008 (Japan) Pours a black color with a sm-tan head. Aroma is of dark malts, toffee, and caramel. The taste is of coffee, malts, dark fruits, and chocolate. The mouthfeel is smooth and finishes with a nice dry bitter punch. I would say this porter is a refreshing suprise. :)

Jul 25, 2008 Updated: Jul 26, 200812 oz. Opaque black with a medium-sized, creamy and lasting head. Aroma is espresso with cream, cocoa, and caramel. Flavors of coffee, caramel, graham cracker, raisins, dried wood, light char and alcohol. Medium body is smooth and dryish.

Jul 22, 2008 Bottle from the PA Underground Beer Network (PUB’N). Pours dark brown with black edges and 3-finger khaki head that lingers forever. Nose is roasty dark malt, chocolate, prune. Tastes malty, roasty, with chocolate, fig, brown sugar, and an overall dry profile throughout, with medium body heft and complexity. Solid.
