I find though that for all I thought that this was bit thin, a bit of "oh here comes the chocolate" taste, and that made it less of a thing.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Aroma: 7/10. A very sweet, chocolatey aroma of malt.
Appearance: 4/5. Pours dark brown with a thin, chocolate-brown head.
Taste: 7/10. Initial chocolate, then strong coffee, with a surprisingly intense taste of alcohol despite only 6%. The hops are stronger with this porter than most I’ve tried.
Palate: 3/5. Smooth and wet, quenching on the tongue, with a long, long bitter finish of hops.
Overall: 13/20. It’s a decent, different porter. If you’re looking for a porter with more pronounced alcohol flavor and a more intense bite of hops than normal for the style, you might enjoy this one.

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Draught @ Bungalow. Dark brown body, fine-laced tan head. Rich malt, cherries, dash of soy sauce in the aroma. A little thin and fizzy for a porter, but flavours of dark fruit, bitter chocolate and coffe are supple and rich. Can’t fault the taste- really easy drinking and morish. Great stuff.

Medium body, light watery texture, low carbonation. Needs a bit more body. Ok overall, decent to try. Don’t need to seek it out again.

3.7 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 8/20
Chocolate, toasted malts, lactose and hints of fruit greet the nose. Pours a solid black with a thin none-lasting tan head and sparce lacing. The pallet is somewhat bitter. Roasted malts, chocolate, fruit. wood, and coffee grounds, with a biscuit/grain/bitter finish. Medium body and medium carbonation. Overall, this is a very good porter - rich in flavor and satisfaction. Will buy again.

4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Wow. I may be new to quality beer, but this was a treat. Home consumed draught in a howler. Poured clear dark amber brown, minimal head but lovely lacing. Hearty nose of coffee / caramel / chocolate, with a little breadyness. A little herb-iness perhaps. Strong flavour, only slight bitterness, but mouth filling creamy richness. Soft carbonation, but most certainly because this was a draft brought home. Unexpectedly, the palate was left surprisingly clean with little residual flavour.
Later, sipped while enjoying a light tiramisu cake, and I almost exploded from the experience. JOY!
