Bottle at Tanakaya in Tokyo. Excellent body, and some sweetness. Not too bitter, but plenty of hops. Thick, and oily.

Aug 26, 2008 (12oz bottle) Slight gusher of tan head that reveals a clear dark brown body. Aroma is medium sweet, roast, coffee, some burnt, caramel, nut, light earthy. Taste is moderately sweet, chococoffee, some roast, caramel, light burnt. Light-medium body, some stickiness, low carbonation, easy drinking. A bit too sweet, but enjoyable nonetheless.

Aug 24, 2008 Nearly opaque black pour, slightish white head, lasted half way through the beer. Solid roasted malt and coffee nose. Similar in taste, with some mocha and a light hop character. A bit light bodied, with a clean but slightly watery finish.

Aug 23, 2008 Bottle: Pours a transparent dark copper mahogany with a spotty-lacing light tan head, Aroma of lightly sweet toasty dark caramel and milk chocolate with a touch of earthy hops. Body starts with a smooth malty sweetness balanced with bigger bittering hop and roasty notes toward the finish. A pretty drinkable and balanced porter.

Aug 9, 2008 Taste 8/8 Bottle. Looks: Black and opaque. Nice thick head. Aroma: Nice smoke,bacon. Taste: Mostly smoked bacon. Spice and roast. A little sweet malt. Some chocolate. Less astringent than a lot of porters. Very drinkable and nice mouthfeel. Smooth. Mellow bitter in the finish.
