3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 bhensonb (9096) - Woodland, California, USA - JUN 4, 2010Bomber. Pours a hazy light copper with a good foamy white head. Light citrus rind aroma. Medium body with coarse carbonation. Flavor is mild/light caramel with a lot of fruit - that’s kind of citrus. There’s a light touch of citrus sour. Goes mildly grainy in the finish. The fruit persists, and it’s not exactly bitter, but it’s certainly far from sweet. Interesting ale.

The pour is golden orange in color with a white head. A very citrusy aroma to the beer, and quite a strong tropical character too. Some sweet malt aromas, but really dominated by the fruit. The flavor is more of the same. Sweet tropical and citrus fruit character, a little bit of malt, sweet berries, and maybe just a hint of tartness to it. Really easy to drink.

Bottle at abraxas. Hazy orange-sickle. Stale pale malts maybe the bottle is a bit old. The delicate orange is late to the party but fun to have. Light on the tongue. Fresh and delightfully dry. I wish I had a fresh one but even old it's good.

22 oz. bottle. $6 @ Binny’s, April 2011. Poured into a smallish pilsener glass, just to get a good look at the stuff. Pours hazy gold with red highlights, and a lot of particles floating around. If the base style was a Belgian wheat beer, this could be seen as OK. Big fizzy head. Smell starts off with golden ale malt, a bit of sour note. Nice, just not a BIG smell, I guess. Have to say, though, the taste is not that much of a much. Maybe I let it sit around to long. All I can really get is a Fat Tire with hard Mandarin oranges in it. Guess I should have had this fresher.

This was on the light side of fruit beers. Easy drinker and very refreshing. Pours a light hazy gold with a small white head. Aromas and flavors of tart citrus and a slight sweet malt presence. Fizzy carbonation and light bodied.
3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 5000 (5000) - Hardened Liver, Washington, USA - NOV 26, 2011
Bottle: Orange hued golden, sudsy white head, dies quickly, sparce lacing. Floral nose, slight tangarine
or mandarin. Definitely citrusy but not the citrus peel that is so common. This one is moreso like the
inside of some citrus type of fruit. Slight clove, both on nose and on the tongue. Soft sweetness, a
little flat on the tongue. Comes across as a very light Fruit Beer, mixed with either clove or some sort of
floralness. Slightly dry on the finish. Not half bad, certainly comes across as real fruit and not a fake
sugary example.

Very interesting brew. Pour is hazy yellow with white head bottle pour thanks to Scott’s tasting! Aroma has notes of some citrusy grapefruit, lemon, biscuit, tart lactic notes, hints of spice and earth in there as well. Taste is nice mix of tart fruit, grapefruit, lemon, some hints of biscuit, caramel, hints of spice, finishes fairly tart and dry.
