Draught at Q-Brick. Nice nose: citrus, menthol, licorice. Original and inviting. Deep amber with no head. Bitter, bitter flavor with light malt. A bit thin and light in body. Really huge bitterness, some of it obviously from the fruit. Really a bit too astringent.

Bottle 66 cl bought @ bir&fud bottega (Rome, Italy). Pours an orange-rusty pale colour with almost no head at all. Aroma of citrus, lime, tropical fruits, pink grapefruit, young orange, white peach, a little chemical note and yeasty as well. It’s really particular, Medium carbonation in a little malty body, full of blood orange, orange peel and grapefruit, but nothing more. Good finish, intense citric like the flavor. A little boring and flat for me. Maybe deserve a fresher bottle? If this is the standard, well, doesn’t worth the 66 cl format. Anyway, I have to admit, it’s really different from classic IPA.

Pacific Century pours a rich amber gold with a light white head. The aroma is fairly reserved for an IPA, but citrus, pine, and buttery hops make themselves apparent. The taste is bright and lively. The citrus blends in with the hops very well to create a refreshing, sweet, and bitter IPA. The mouthfeel is about as it should be, with light prickly carbonation. And it’s not as heavy as I’d expect for the ABV. Overall, this is a great and unique take on an IPA.
